Analyze your performance
A trading journal is useless if you never analyze it. ChimTradeApp turns your positions into indicators and charts: here is where to find each piece of information and how to use it to make concrete progress.

Setup: filter before reading
The Dashboard and Analytics pages share the same filters at the top: the Period (Today, This week, This month, Custom, All) and the Account (a specific account or All accounts). Choose the right scope first: a weekly analysis of your live account alone will not tell the same story as "All" across all your accounts.
Steps: read the dashboard
- Open the Dashboard. The first row shows your key indicators: net PnL, number of winning and losing Positions, Win rate, Profit factor, Expectancy, average win and loss, Max drawdown, winning and losing streaks.
- Check the Equity curve: it is the evolution of your cumulative results. A steady slope beats a roller-coaster curve, even if the latter ends higher.
- Look at the Daily PnL to spot extreme days: they are often the ones hiding mistakes (over-trading, oversized positions).
- Finish with the By session chart: it shows whether you actually make money during the Asia, London, and US sessions.
Explore the Analytics page
The Analytics page breaks down your results into four tabs:
- Performance: results By day of the week, By entry hour, and By session. If your Tuesdays or your 10 p.m. entries are structurally losing, simply stop trading those slots.
- Signals: a ranking of your signal sources (your own analysis, a Telegram service…) with the PnL attached to each. Ideal for knowing which signals are truly worth following.
- Direction & strategy: a BUY vs SELL comparison and results By strategy — hence the importance of filling in the Strategy field when you log your trades.
- Context & funds: performance Near a news event (do you trade well during announcements?) and by deposit/withdrawal method.
The indicators to watch first
- Win rate: the percentage of winning trades. It means nothing on its own: a 40% win rate with large winners can be very profitable.
- Profit factor: gross gains divided by gross losses. Below 1, you are losing money; aim to stay durably above 1.3.
- Max drawdown: the worst drop from a peak. If it exceeds your tolerance, reduce your position size.
- Plan compliance: the share of trades consistent with your plan. A low figure signals a discipline problem before a strategy problem.
Generate an AI report
The AI Report page produces a written review based on your trades and the gold price:
- Day tab: pick the date then click Analyze my trades. The AI compares your day to the market's behavior and suggests a projection for the next day (limited to 2 generations per day).
- Week tab: select a week then Analyze my week. Available after the gold market closes on Friday at 5 p.m. New York time.
Turn data into progress
The method is simple: every weekend, review the week, identify a single weak point (a losing session, a strategy that does not work, trades taken during news) and set a concrete rule for the following week. Check that you applied it the week after. This journal → analysis → rule loop is what drives progress.
Key takeaways
- Always filter by period and account before drawing conclusions.
- Profit factor and max drawdown matter as much as the win rate.
- The Analytics page tabs reveal your best time slots, strategies, and signal sources.
- The AI Report summarizes your days and weeks, provided you have journaled your trades.
